Courses
We’ve scoured the globe to hand select the best instructors and courses we could find. YOU pick who you want to learn from. You’ll probably see some familiar names as you scroll through the available courses. For example, Trey Xavier from Gear Gods teaches RelationShapes – the best course for learning scales for soloing. Or check out Henry Olsen’s Beginner Blues lessons to master the basics of blues chords, scales, and rhythms. We have courses on Gypsy jazz, strumming patterns, lead guitar, riffs, oldies, rockabilly, and SO much more! All finger positions are of course displayed right on your fretboard using Fret Zealot’s LEDs.
Chord Displays
Learn Chords like never before! No more black and white chord diagrams, just pick the chord type in the app, and instantly, the chord and finger positions are displayed right on your fretboard! Finger placement is color coded for each finger, meaning less guesswork and more playing. With more than 10,000 Chords & voicings (variations) to choose from, and Arpeggios for each chord type, you’ll never run out of new shapes and sounds to explore.
Chord Progressions
Once you have a few favorite chords, set them up in your own custom chord progression to cycle through them and start creating songs! Choose up to seven chords (any voicing / variation) and put them in a timed loop. You can also choose ‘shuffle’ to keep you on your toes as different chords in your progression are displayed in each timed interval.
Notes & Scales
Explore the fundamental building blocks of music with Fret Zealot! It’s not always easy remembering all the notes on the fretboard (over 90 in the first 15 frets). Fret Zealot also supports nearly 30 different scale types, allowing you to explore and play in many different styles of music. What can typically be hours of frustration and transcribing is now a reference right at your fingertips!
Custom Colors & Brightness
Whether you’re just getting familiar with the fretboard or you’re experimenting with a new tuning, Fret Zealot lets you find all the notes you need and quickly. By clicking the color bubble on a particular Note, you can select whichever color you like and even customize the brightness of the associated LEDs. These color coded notes will apply to all the scales, so when you switch to a different scale, the note colors you’re familiar with will follow!
Tuner
For when your guitar needs a ‘Tune-up’, the Fret Zealot app comes with a built-in tuner (using your mobile device’s microphone). Whether you’re getting in tune for the first time, or trying out new sounds in any one of the 57 different tunings the app offers, Fret Zealot will give you the guide to properly tune your guitar. Regardless of what tuning you choose, Fret Zealot app will update everything automatically to show you all the notes, chords, and scales in each.
Song Tabs
For everyone who has wanted to play along with the Greats of our time, Fret Zealot is the obvious companion. Simply pick a song from our ever-growing library, and play along with the lights on the Fret Zealot guiding the way. With AI Mode, Fret Zealot will go at your pace, listening for you to play the correct note or chord before advancing. With MIDI and Guitar Pro (GP3/4/5) file support, you can browse from the library of over 80,000 songs, and even add your own!
